I've been coming to this Coffee Bean location more often recently and they continue to exceed my expectations. The girls that work here are wonderful and so friendly. They really do their best to make your experience memorable. The drinks are always good no matter what I get. I love their vanilla bean cold brew latte with soy. Always a good pick-me-up. The only issue is that this Coffee Bean location is literally Armenian-man central. The "No Smoking" sign means absolutely nothing to them. Oh, and expect to get stared down every time you park, enter, and exit the store. But with that said, I think it's more on the owner of the shopping center rather than Coffee Bean to deal with that issue. Don't forget to bring your own cup to get a $0.40 discount!

Customer service lack at this place... first the lady at the cashier was looking at me oddly and when I ask for a bag for my purchase again with the odd look... wth!!
Then I ask the girl to put my regular drink in a large cup with extra ... again with an attitude... not busy okay so what with the attitude
Never again coming to this place... going to my regular place where the workers are nice and friendly with smiles on their faces -

The Coffee Bean and Tea has been in existence for many years: many years before Starbucks even came into existence in the LA area (that would be the kiosk in Pavilions market about 1986).
This unit is small, cramped and the outdoor seating is almost always inundated with old dudes kvetching about all manner of things better left to their homes rather than in public.
I have a strong suspicion that these dudes have escaped their homes with their wives of many years and use this place as a respite from said wives. Besides the wives are watching soap operas and spending money on QVC and these dudes are allotted only a few dollars a day for their entertainment.
I guess slugging down coffee for hours is better than downing shots and beers at Dave's a few blocks away on Broadway.
I mean i get it: you've been married for 60 years, your children are off having their own children and have only allowed you to see them once a week at most. So you come to this coffee joint, hook up with your coffee buds and go on and on about the weather, the price of beef and the state of your wife's attitude that morning. I mean for 5 bucks you can be entertained all day which is a hell of a lot cheaper than going to a movie.
Me? I would go to Dave's and pickle myself for a few hours a day. But that is just me.
So there is almost no place to sit outside here and the inside is also small with just a few tables. so it is better to buy and go.
The "Drip" here is good not great: the ratio of water to ground is too high for my taste. Also the basic taste of the coffee is wimpy: not up to the savory level of say Starbuck's coffee which is rich with cherry, tobacco and the soil from which it is grown.
On the plus side the service here is almost always very good, the espresso drinks are tasty and robust with the deeper roast of the coffee contributing to the overall goodness of the espresso based drinks. the baked goods are excellent as a rule. The coffee cake is a standout.
Interestingly enough: i appreciate, enjoy and for the most part find delicious most of the incidental items: baked goods, teas, packaged stuff.
So: family please note. When i get as old as the CBT dudes and if you see me here kvetching to beat the band, please shoot me.
Cheers! -

When not patronizing a local mom and pop, I'm a Coffee Bean girl all the way. I love the ice (even when they fill half the cup with it) and I like the powder flavorings vs the syrups often used at a lot of other coffee places. I always bring my own cup (and get $.40 off, which I just give back to them in tip form, but still) and get the hazelnut iced coffee. It's always just right - super consistent and delicious.
It's not the cleanest store but the baristas are friendly and get through a line quickly (when there is one). Parking is plentiful but sometimes people can be in a rush and they ruin the easy in and out flow of the strip mall its nestled in. -

Ordered from the app and requested extra matcha on additional comments section because there was no option on the app to select extra matcha. I got to the store and my drink was not ready (was late to work) and was told that they could not add extra matcha because it's an additional cost (and let's remember that it's not even an option available on the app).
